Gozney Wings

Crispy, Charred, and Full of Flavor
This one’s for the wing lovers who like firepower and flavor packed into every bite. Using the high heat of a Gozney Roccbox and the even heat of Lodge cast iron, these wings crisp up beautifully with Ranch & Rifle’s C.S.H. seasoning — our smoky, umami-rich blend of Chipotle, Soy, and Honey.
The process is fast, hot, and wildly satisfying. Perfect for game day or anytime the craving hits.
Ingredients
1½ lbs chicken wings, flats and drums separated
2 tbsp olive oil
1½–2 tbsp Ranch & Rifle’s C.S.H. seasoning
Optional: squeeze of lime or chopped green onion for serving
Equipment
Lodge Cast Iron Skillet (8–10")
Gozney Roccbox Pizza Oven
Instructions
1. Preheat the Gozney
Fire up the Gozney Roccbox to full flame and let it preheat for at least 20 minutes. You want that stone ripping hot.
2. Prep the Wings
Pat the wings dry with a paper towel. Toss them in a bowl with about a 1 tbsp olive oil, then coat thoroughly with C.S.H. seasoning. Set aside.
3. Preheat the Cast Iron
Place your Lodge skillet in the Roccbox (with no food in it) and let it preheat at full flame for 5 minutes. Carefully remove — it will be extremely hot.
4. Add the Wings
Add a small amount (1-2 tbsps) of olive oil to the skillet, away from the flame, and swirl to coat. Carefully place the seasoned wings into the pan in a single layer.
5. Cook on Low Flame
Place the skillet back into the Roccbox and immediately reduce the flame to low. Cook for 5 minutes, rotating the pan 180° halfway through to ensure even cooking.
6. Flip & Finish
Remove the skillet, flip all the wings, and return to the oven. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, then rotate the pan again.
7. Final Roast (No Flame)
Turn off the flame and leave the wings in the hot oven for 5 more minutes, allowing the residual heat to finish cooking and crisping the skin.
8. Serve
Carefully remove the skillet and let the wings rest for 2–3 minutes. Serve as-is, or finish with a fresh squeeze of lime or sprinkle of green onion.
Why It Works
The Roccbox gives you blazing heat and radiant top-down cooking — perfect for crispy, slightly charred wings. Using Lodge cast iron helps even out the cook and gives the wings a beautiful sear. And C.S.H. brings that smoky, sweet-savory backbone that makes these wings stand out from the crowd.
