Smokeshack Shakshuka

There’s something special about a dish that brings smoke, spice, and simplicity all together in one skillet — and this Smokeshack Shakshuka does exactly that. We put our own twist on the North African classic by letting the fire do its magic and seasoning it up with Ranch & Rifle’s A.P. Seasoning for that perfect savory balance.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cherry tomatoes

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 6 eggs

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1–2 tbsp Ranch & Rifle’s A.P. Seasoning (to taste)

  • Fire-roasted bread, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Fire it up:
Get your charcoal or wood fire going — this dish is best cooked over live flame for that authentic smokeshack flavor.

  2. Build the base:
In a cast iron skillet (or aluminum pan over the coals), heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced onions and red pepper, cooking until softened and slightly charred around the edges.

  3. Add the tomatoes:
Toss in your cherry tomatoes and season generously with A.P. Seasoning. Stir occasionally as the tomatoes blister and burst, creating a rich, smoky sauce.

  4. Make room for the eggs:
Using a spoon, create small wells in the sauce and crack in your eggs. Cover the skillet (or tent with foil) and let them cook until the whites are set and the yolks are just runny.

  5. Finish strong:
Sprinkle a little more A.P. Seasoning on top and serve straight from the skillet with slices of fire-roasted bread for dipping.

Pro Tip:

Add a sprinkle of feta and parsley or a few dashes of hot sauce if you want to turn up the flavor even more — but trust us, this one’s perfect just the way it is.

🔥 Simple. Smoky. Satisfying. This is Smokeshack Shakshuka, Ranch & Rifle style.
