Slow Cooker, BBQ Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

  • 1 tsp of liquid smoke

  • 1 cup of chicken broth

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a small bowl, combine all of the dry seasonings together and set aside.

  • Cut the chicken into cubes and place into a gallon zip lock bag. Now, sprinkle the seasoning mixture all over the chicken.

  • Close the bag and shake thoroughly to make sure all pieces are covered.

  • Place chicken along with the cup of chicken broth into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours.

  • Using two forks, shred the chicken right in the slow cooker and then add the liquid smoke and BBQ sauce.

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Enjoy with a bun, topped with coleslaw and pickles!
