Moo Pig Sausage Balls

If you’ve been following us for a while, you already know we love a good sausage ball. But when our friends at Oakland Meat Market introduced us to Moo Pig — a perfect blend of ground pork and beef — we knew we had to take things up a notch. This recipe brings together the best of both worlds: rich beef flavor, savory sausage, melty cheese, and just the right touch of smoke.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Moo Pig (ground pork & beef blend)

  • 1 lb sage sausage

  • 1 ¼ cups Bisquick

  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (½ cheddar, ½ mozzarella)

  • 2 tbsp Ranch & Rifle A.P. Blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker or pellet grill to 400°F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Moo Pig, sage sausage, Bisquick, cheeses, and A.P. Blend.

  3. Using your hands or a small scoop, roll the mixture into 1 to 1 ½ inch balls.

  4. Place the sausage balls on a wire rack or foil-lined pan for easy cleanup.

  5. Smoke at 400°F for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Let them cool slightly and enjoy them warm — straight off the smoker is how we like ‘em best.

Pro Tip

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, or whip up a quick spicy ranch by mixing ranch dressing with a dash of our Hot Honey seasoning.
