Gunpowder Bruschetta

Simple ingredients, big payoff. This Gunpowder Bruschetta is built on crisp, toasted bread and fresh toppings, finished with just a few shakes of our Gunpowder Seasoning to add balance, depth, and a little edge. It’s the kind of appetizer that works just as well around the fire as it does on a dinner table.

Ingredients

  • Baguette or crusty Italian bread, sliced into ½-inch rounds

  • Olive oil

  • Fresh tomatoes, finely diced

  • Fresh basil, thinly sliced

  • Garlic, lightly grated or minced

  • Ranch & Rifle Gunpowder Seasoning

  • Optional: balsamic glaze or shaved Parmesan

Toast the Crostini

Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil. Toast on a grill, in a skillet, or in the oven at 400°F until golden and crisp. Remove and let cool slightly.

Make the Bruschetta Topping

In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, basil, garlic, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Assemble

Spoon the tomato mixture onto each toasted crostini. Finish with a couple of shakes of Gunpowder Seasoning on top of each piece.

Finish and Serve

Optional finishes include a drizzle of balsamic glaze or a few shavings of Parmesan. Serve immediately while the bread is still crisp.

Notes from the Kitchen

  • Gunpowder adds depth without overpowering the fresh tomatoes.

  • Toasting the bread over live fire adds an extra layer of flavor.

  • This works great as a starter, a side, or something to snack on while the grill heats up.

Fresh, simple, and built for sharing—this is bruschetta done the Ranch & Rifle way.
